Built by Systems was born from a frustration every busy professional knows too well — the gap between wanting to transform your body and actually having the time and knowledge to do it right.
As an Electrical and Mechanical engineer, I was forced to finally take my health seriously after a bad back injury from my equestrian career — compounded by COVID and rapid, uncontrollable weight gain — left me stuck. I didn't have time to spend hours in the gym, but I also didn't have time to not focus on my health. At the ripe age of 23, I was immobile, overweight, depressed, and anxious.
Overwhelmed by information overload on the internet, I tried every single diet — vegan, keto, carnivore, vegetarian, paleo. Nothing stuck, because none of it was built around me. I spent years watching others repeat the same cycles: crash diets, unsustainable programs, and fitness advice that ignored the reality of a demanding life. What was missing wasn't motivation — it was a system.
So I applied the same principles I used to solve complex engineering problems — feedback loops, root cause analysis, iterative optimization — to fitness and nutrition. The results spoke for themselves.
